On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we cordially invite you to the 12th Chinese International Peptide Symposium (12th CPS), which will be held in Shenyang from 2 to 6 July, 2012. The 12th CPS is hosted by Beijing Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology with assistance from Shenyang Pharmaceutical University.
The CPS was proposed by the Chinese scientists who successfully synthesized insulin and other worldwide recognized scientists in peptide-related fields such as Nobel laureate Professor Bruce R. Merrifield. Since the first CPS held in Shanghai in 1990, eleven meetings of CPS have been successively held every two years. The symposium is one of the most important and influential events in the field of peptide science in China. It is targeted to most recent, cutting-edge research on a broad range of the topics in peptide chemistry, biology, material, pharmaceutical sciences and the crossing trend in peptide science. The symposium aims at offering a forum for scientific discussions on recent developments in the exciting field of peptide science. It is also a good opportunity for young and senior scientists from all over the world to communicate with each other. The scientific program will be composed of international invited speakers, oral presentations and poster sessions, where all delegates are encouraged to present their data.
Shenyang is the capital of Liaoning province, the largest city in northeastern china, with a population of over 4 million and an important manufacturing and logistics hub for the region. Located in the center of Liaoning Province, Shenyang also is close to a wide variety of natural resources and home to a large number of Chinese and foreign industrial companies. Shenyang Imperial Palace is the former imperial palace of the early Qing Dynasty, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
